HBO released today the official trailer for True Detective: Night Country, the fourth season of the critically-acclaimed and viewer-favorite mystery-crime drama anthology series.

As with the previous seasons of this outstanding, BAFTA TV and Primetime Emmy® Awards-winning mystery-crime drama anthology series, the six-episode fourth season features a brand new story and a brand new cast. It stars Academy Award® winner and Emmy® nominee Jodie Foster (The Silence of the Lambs, The Accused), Kali Reis (Black Flies), Finn Bennett (The Nevers), and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), with Christopher Eccleston (The Leftovers), Isabella Star Lablanc (Long Slow Exhale), and John Hawkes (Too Old to Die Young).
Guest stars include Anna Lambe (Three Pines), Aka Niviâna (Borgen), June Thiele (Dreaming Grand Avenue), Diane Benson (Christmas with a Capital C), and Joel D. Montgrand (Altered Carbon).
When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.
True Detective: Night Country premieres in the US on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 9pm ET/PT, on HBO, with streaming available on Max.
The multi-award-winning Issa López (Tigers Are Not Afraid) is Season 4’s showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer; star Jodie Foster also serves as executive producer.
